Also called blue morwong — a striking deep-reef fish of southern Australia, particularly WA, SA and western VIC. Targeted with bait and jigs over offshore reef in 30-100m. Excellent eating, often a bycatch when chasing dhufish or snapper.
Generally fished with medium tackle — match gear to the conditions and the size of fish you expect.
