Overview: about bluefin trevally
Strong-fighting trevally with electric blue fins, found in reef and offshore environments off NSW, WA and NT. Target with jigs, poppers and large soft plastics in 40-170m, or with live baits and lures in shallower estuaries and lagoons. Big bluefins are prized catches, but be aware of moderate ciguatera risk.
