Large deep-water predator found in offshore waters of QLD, SA and WA, putting up a strong fight when hooked. Targeted with heavy tackle and large baits or lures in 600-700m, often near underwater structure. Big sixgills are a rare catch, but can be a brutal test of gear and angling skill.
