Overview: about butterfly perch
Butterfly Perch are medium-sized reef dwellers found in NSW, WA, and TAS, putting up a decent fight on light tackle. They can be targeted with small jigs, soft plastics, and bait in 10-50m over reef and bay structures. Good to eat, but often overlooked in favour of more prized reef species.
