Overview: about common blacktip shark

Powerful and fast-swimming shark found in NSW and WA coastal waters, from reefs to estuaries. Target with baitfish, lures or trolling in 10-100m, using heavy tackle to wear them down. Big blacktips put up a strong fight, often leaping and running hard when hooked.
