Large and powerful ray with strong fighting ability, found in coastal waters of NSW, QLD and WA, often in reef, estuary and bay habitats. Targeted with bait and soft plastics on the bottom in 5-50m, requiring heavy tackle to wear them down. Can inflict serious injury with their barbed tail, handle with care.
