Deep-water reef runner with strong fighting ability, found over coral reefs off NSW, QLD and WA. Targeted with jigs, large soft plastics and live baits in 100-250m, requiring heavy tackle to wear them down. Good to excellent eating quality, but often overlooked in favour of more popular reef species.
