Strong-fighting, medium-sized fish found in southern Australian waters, particularly off NSW, VIC, and TAS. Targeted with jigs, bait and lures in 10-500m, often in midwater or near offshore structure. Good eating fish with white, flaky flesh, often sold as fillets.
