Overview: about spot-tail shark

Medium-sized shark with a strong fight, found in inshore reefs and estuaries across northern Australia. Target with baitfish, squid or crustaceans on the bottom or mid-water in 10-70m, using heavy tackle and wire leader. Not considered good eating, handle with care due to sharp teeth.
