Field notes
Limestone reef system west of Geraldton popular with Batavia Coast charters. Holds dhufish, baldchin and pink snapper; sambos thick on the high points. Currents can rip hard - heavy sinkers and braid mandatory.

Situation. A ridge lies over southern WA and gradually moves east during today and Wednesday. A weak cold front moves over southwest parts during Thursday, before another ridge develops over the southwest during Friday.
Tuesday 19 May until midnight. Winds: Variable about 10 knots, reaching up to 20 knots offshore north of Coral Bay in the evening. Seas: Below 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres north of Coral Bay. 1st Swell: Southwesterly 1.5 metres inshore, increasing to 1.5 to 2 metres offshore south of Coral Bay. 2nd Swell: Northeasterly below 1 metre inshore, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres offshore north of Coral Bay. Weather: Clear.
Wednesday 20 May. Winds: Northeast to southeasterly 15 to 20 knots, reaching up to 25 knots offshore north of Coral Bay in the late morning and early afternoon. Winds tending southeast to southwesterly in the evening. Seas: Around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 2 metres offshore north of Coral Bay during the morning. 1st Swell: Southwesterly 1.5 metres inshore, increasing to 1.5 to 2 metres offshore south of Coral Bay. 2nd Swell: Northeasterly 1 to 1.5 metres, decreasing to around 1 metre during the morning, then increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres around midday. Weather: Sunny day. The chance of a thunderstorm offshore north of Coral Bay in the late afternoon and evening.
Thursday 21 May. Winds: South to southeasterly 10 to 15 knots tending east to southeasterly 15 to 20 knots before dawn then tending south to southeasterly in the late afternoon. Seas: 1 to 1.5 metres. 1st Swell: Southwesterly 1.5 metres. 2nd Swell: Northeasterly below 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres north of Coral Bay. Weather: Mostly sunny.
