Mersey River Devonport

River·Tasmania·Australia

Field notes

Tidal lower Mersey through Devonport, with the wharves and Bluff fishing year-round. Sand flathead and Australian salmon dominate, with school sharks on whole baits after dark. Sea-run brown trout work the upper tidal reaches in spring on whitebait.
