Field notes
Northern end of a deep offshore reef chain in 90-110m east of Noosa. Holds quality pearl perch, snapper and amberjack year-round, with cobia and spanish mackerel through the warmer months. Best worked on neap tides with light current.

Situation. A ridge of high pressure extends over the southern and central Queensland waters from a high [1035 hPa] centred over the southern Tasman Sea. The high will remain slow moving but gradually weaken over the next several days, maintaining the ridge.
Wednesday 21 October until midnight. Winds: Easterly 10 to 15 knots turning northeasterly during the morning. Winds reaching up to 20 knots offshore south of Agnes Water in the late evening. Seas: Around 1 metre. Swell: Easterly below 1 metre inshore, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres offshore. Weather: Partly cloudy. The chance of a thunderstorm.
Thursday 22 October. Winds: Northeasterly 10 to 15 knots, reaching up to 20 knots offshore south of Cape Capricorn during the day.
