Continental shelf drop-offs and canyon heads south-west of Portland. Renowned for trophy southern bluefin tuna 100kg-plus through April-July, with albacore, yellowfin and striped marlin showing in warmer years. Long run from port - blue water only.

Situation. A high pressure ridge will extend across the north of the State whilst a couple of weak cold fronts will cross to the south today and early Wednesday. The high pressure ridge will extend across the remainder of the State late Wednesday then persist for Thursday and Friday. The main high centre will move southeast on Saturday but will continue to extend a ridge over Victoria.
