Field notes
Bulk carrier that sank in 1991 east of Esperance near the Hood Reef group. Now a renowned dive and fishing wreck in roughly 40 m, holding samson, queen snapper, harlequin and breaksea cod. Long run from Bandy Creek - charter is the smart play.

Situation. A ridge is strengthening over the west coast with a weak cold front moving along the southeast coast of the state today. The ridge will then move south and strengthen on Wednesday in the wake of the cold front.
Tuesday 21 July until midnight. Winds: Southwesterly 10 to 15 knots turning southerly during the afternoon and evening. Seas: Below 1 metre. Swell: Southwesterly 2.5 to 3 metres. Weather: Cloudy.
Wednesday 22 July. Winds: Southerly 10 to 15 knots turning east to southeasterly below 10 knots during the morning. Seas: Below 1 metre. Swell: Southwesterly 2.5 to 3 metres inshore, increasing to 3 to 4 metres offshore east of Cape Leeuwin. Weather: Cloudy.
Thursday 23 July. Winds: East to northeasterly about 10 knots tending north to northeasterly 10 to 15 knots in the morning then decreasing to below 10 knots in the early afternoon. Seas: Below 1 metre. Swell: Southwesterly 2.5 to 3 metres. Weather: Partly cloudy.
