Remote Coral Sea reef complex about 160nm east of Gladstone, reached only by extended-range charter or mothership trips. Heavy red emperor, large-mouth nannygai, coral trout and red bass on the bottom; wahoo and yellowfin patrol the drop-offs. Coral Sea Marine Park zoning applies.

Situation. A ridge of high pressure extends over the southern and central Queensland waters from a high [1035 hPa] centred over the southern Tasman Sea. The high will remain slow moving but gradually weaken over the next several days, maintaining the ridge.
Wednesday 21 October until midnight. Winds: Easterly 10 to 15 knots turning northeasterly during the morning. Winds reaching up to 20 knots offshore south of Agnes Water in the late evening. Seas: Around 1 metre. Swell: Easterly below 1 metre inshore, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres offshore. Weather: Partly cloudy. The chance of a thunderstorm.
Thursday 22 October. Winds: Northeasterly 10 to 15 knots, reaching up to 20 knots offshore south of Cape Capricorn during the day.
