Reliable inshore bait mark in 25-35m west of Murphy's reef. Yakkas, slimies and pike school in numbers through the warmer months, with cobia, kingfish and longtail tuna following the schools. Bait jigs first, then a live bait dropped back.

Situation. A ridge extends over the south Queensland waters. A trough will move north across the south Queensland waters from this afternoon, moving further offshore on Monday morning. A new ridge will extend over the south Queensland waters behind the trough.
Sunday 6 September until midnight. Winds: Northwesterly 10 to 15 knots, reaching up to 20 knots inshore in the afternoon. Winds turning northerly in the late afternoon. Seas: Below 1 metre, increasing to around 1 metre south of Cape Capricorn. Swell: East to northeasterly below 1 metre. Weather: Sunny.
Monday 7 September. Winds: West to northwesterly 10 to 15 knots shifting east to southeasterly in the morning. Winds reaching up to 20 knots south of Cape Capricorn in the late morning and afternoon. Seas: Below 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres south of Cape Capricorn around midday. Swell: Southerly around 1 metre offshore southern waters. Weather: Mostly sunny.
Tuesday 8 September. Winds: Easterly 10 to 15 knots turning south to southeasterly below 10 knots during the morning then tending east to southeasterly 15 to 20 knots during the day.
