Seamount rising from 700m to around 250m roughly 20nm SE of Sydney Heads. Premier blue-water ground for marlin, yellowfin and big-eye, working the temperature breaks Jan-May. Long run requires settled weather and seaworthy boat.

Situation. A cold front is crossing northeast NSW Sunday morning then will move offshore into the Tasman Sea through the day. Another weak ridge is forecast in the wake of the front Sunday, followed by a series of fronts slipping south of the state through Monday onwards.
Sunday 6 September until midnight. Strong Wind Warning for Sunday for Sydney Coast Winds: West to southwesterly 15 to 20 knots turning southerly in the early afternoon. Winds reaching up to 30 knots offshore in the late afternoon. Seas: 1.5 to 2.5 metres. Swell: Southerly 1 to 1.5 metres, increasing to 2.5 to 3 metres during the afternoon. Weather: Sunny.
Monday 7 September. Winds: South to southwesterly 10 to 15 knots tending east to southeasterly in the middle of the day then tending southerly 15 to 25 knots in the evening. Seas: Around 1 metre, increasing to 1.5 metres later in the evening. Swell: Southerly 1.5 to 2.5 metres, decreasing to 1.5 metres later in the evening. Weather: Mostly sunny. 70% chance of showers.
Tuesday 8 September. Winds: Southerly 15 to 25 knots decreasing to 10 to 15 knots during the day then becoming variable below 10 knots during the evening. Seas: 1.5 to 2 metres, decreasing to 1 metre during the afternoon or evening. Swell: Southerly 1.5 metres inshore, increasing to 1.5 to 2 metres offshore. Weather: Partly cloudy. 50% chance of showers.
