Main boating harbour at Dampier servicing the Karratha-Dampier area, with multi-lane ramps and pens. Inside the harbour walls fish for queenfish, trevally, blue salmon and mangrove jack. Launch point for the Dampier Archipelago.

Situation. A trough forming over the Pilbara will extend east today and become slow moving through to mid-next week. The trough guides west to southwesterly winds over the Pilbara waters, while a broad southwest to northwest flow continues over the remainder of the northern waters.
Sunday 6 September until midnight. Winds: Variable about 10 knots becoming west to northwesterly 10 to 15 knots in the early afternoon. Seas: Below 1 metre. Swell: Westerly below 1 metre. Weather: Sunny.
