Offshore rise west of Lancelin known for dhufish, baldchin and pink snapper outside the West Coast demersal closure. Sits in roughly 40-50 m with broken limestone bottom. Drop paternosters with whole squid; respect Oct 15 to Dec 15 closure.

Situation. A cold front moving along the south coast will weaken as it passes over the Esperance and Eucla coasts during today. East to southeasterly winds will then prevail over the waters as a new ridge develops over the Bight from today, gradually moving eastwards next week.
Sunday 6 September until midnight. Strong Wind Warning for Sunday for Ningaloo Coast Winds: Southerly 20 to 30 knots decreasing to 20 to 25 knots in the morning then increasing to 20 to 30 knots in the late afternoon. Seas: 1.5 to 2.5 metres. Swell: Southwesterly 2 to 3 metres inshore, increasing to 3 to 4 metres offshore. Weather: Partly cloudy.
Monday 7 September. Strong Wind Warning for Monday for Ningaloo Coast Winds: Southerly 15 to 25 knots, reaching up to 30 knots offshore south of Coral Bay in the evening. Seas: 1.5 to 2 metres, decreasing to 1 to 1.5 metres during the morning, then increasing to 2 metres by early evening. Swell: Southwesterly 2 to 3 metres inshore, increasing to 3 to 4 metres offshore. Weather: Sunny.
