Large protected harbour at Albany fed by the Kalgan and King rivers. King George whiting, black bream around the river mouths, flathead on the sand flats and squid through the seagrass meadows. Public ramps at Emu Point and Lower King.

Situation. A cold front moving along the south coast will weaken as it passes over the Esperance and Eucla coasts during today. East to southeasterly winds will then prevail over the waters as a new ridge develops over the Bight from today, gradually moving eastwards next week.
Sunday 6 September until midnight. Strong Wind Warning for Sunday for Leeuwin Coast Winds: Southerly 20 to 25 knots, reaching up to 30 knots north of Cape Leeuwin during the morning. Winds turning southeasterly 15 to 25 knots in the morning. Seas: 1.5 to 2.5 metres. Swell: Southwesterly 3 to 4 metres. Weather: Partly cloudy.
Monday 7 September. Winds: Southeasterly 15 to 20 knots, reaching up to 25 knots offshore north of Cape Leeuwin in the evening. Seas: 1 to 1.5 metres, decreasing below 1 metre during the morning, then increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres during the afternoon. Swell: Southwesterly 4 to 5 metres. Weather: Partly cloudy.
Tuesday 8 September. Winds: Southeasterly 15 to 20 knots turning easterly 20 to 25 knots during the day. Seas: 1 to 2 metres. Swell: Southwesterly 3 to 5 metres. Weather: Partly cloudy. Albany Coast: Walpole to Bremer Bay
