Field notes
Limestone reef running parallel to shore with the long jetty crossing it. The reef is an aquatic reserve so no take inside the sanctuary — fishing is allowed off the jetty itself for squid, tommies, gar, and the occasional snapper on the outer end.

Situation. A ridge of high pressure lies across the state. A cold front will move across southern coasts early Monday but the ridge will persist further north. A trough over the interior of WA will be near stationary early to mid next week.
Sunday 6 September until midnight. Winds: East to northeasterly 10 to 15 knots turning southeasterly 15 to 20 knots in the late morning and afternoon. Seas: Below 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres by early evening. Swell: Southwesterly 2 to 3 metres inshore, increasing to 2.5 to 4 metres offshore. Weather: Sunny.
Monday 7 September. Winds: Southeasterly 15 to 20 knots turning easterly 15 to 25 knots early in the morning. Seas: 1.5 to 2 metres. Swell: Southwesterly 2 to 2.5 metres. Weather: Cloudy. 60% chance of showers.
Tuesday 8 September. Winds: Southeasterly 15 to 25 knots. Seas: 1 to 1.5 metres, increasing to 1.5 to 2 metres during the evening.
