Gold Coast Broadwater entrance with deep water against both rockwalls. Mulloway hold on the wall edges at night and on the change of tide, with mackerel and tailor schooling on bait through summer. Strong current — fish the slack.

Situation. A weakening ridge extends over the south Queensland waters. The ridge will start to strengthen from early next week as a new high moves east across southeastern Australia. A weak trough may move east over the far southeastern waters later Sunday, followed by a moderate to fresh south to southeasterly wind change.
Saturday 5 September until midnight. Winds: North to northwesterly about 10 knots increasing to 10 to 15 knots in the middle of the day. Seas: Below 0.5 metres, increasing to below 1 metre south of Cape Capricorn. Swell: East to northeasterly below 1 metre. Weather: Mostly sunny.
Sunday 6 September. Winds: North to northwesterly 10 to 15 knots, reaching up to 20 knots inshore in the afternoon. Seas: Around 1 metre. Swell: East to northeasterly below 1 metre. Weather: Sunny.
Monday 7 September. Winds: Northwest to southwesterly 10 to 15 knots tending southeast to southwesterly 15 to 20 knots during the morning then tending east to southeasterly during the day. Seas: Below 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres south of Cape Capricorn during the afternoon. Swell: South to southeasterly below 1 metre. Weather: Mostly sunny. Hervey Bay
