Field notes
Inshore rock and rubble ground in 25-40m on the western side of Cape Moreton near Yellowpatch. Snapper, sweetlip and tuskfish work the structure, with school mackerel and longtail tuna in close over summer. Workable from Brisbane and Mooloolaba.

Situation. A ridge of high pressure extends over the southern and central Queensland waters from a high [1035 hPa] centred over the southern Tasman Sea. The high will remain slow moving but gradually weaken over the next several days, maintaining the ridge.
Wednesday 21 October until midnight. Winds: Easterly 10 to 15 knots turning northeasterly during the morning. Winds reaching up to 20 knots offshore south of Agnes Water in the late evening. Seas: Around 1 metre. Swell: Easterly below 1 metre inshore, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres offshore. Weather: Partly cloudy. The chance of a thunderstorm.
Thursday 22 October. Winds: Northeasterly 10 to 15 knots, reaching up to 20 knots offshore south of Cape Capricorn during the day.
