Coral Bay

Lagoon·Western Australia·Australia

Field notes

Sheltered lagoon at the southern end of Ningaloo Reef. The bay itself sits inside the marine park — most inshore water is sanctuary or recreation zone, so check Parks and Wildlife maps. Boats running out past the reef get onto spanish mackerel, coral trout and red emperor.
