Historic timber pearling jetty in Chinatown, Broome, on Dampier Creek. Accessible on higher tides; threadfin salmon, mangrove jack and small trevally work the channel, with mud crab in the mangroves nearby. Watch the huge tidal drop.

Situation. A ridge to the south will bring moderate to fresh east to southeasterly winds through the Pilbara and Kimberley waters, easing for a period on Friday.
